*Key Responsibilities*
Cleaning & Sanitization
* Clean patient rooms, wards, OPD, ICU, OT, toilets, and waiting areas.
* Regularly mop floors, clean glass surfaces, and dust furniture.
* Maintain a schedule of cleaning throughout the hospital premises.
Infection Control
* Disinfect high-touch areas: doorknobs, switches, railings, beds.
* Handle bio-medical waste and general waste as per hospital protocol.
* Use gloves, masks, and cleaning solutions properly as per training.
Ward & Patient Area Maintenance
* Change bed linens and curtains when required.
* Keep patient bedsides neat and hygienic.
* Assist in moving stretchers or wheelchairs under supervision if needed.
Waste Segregation & Disposal
* Segregate medical waste (sharp, infectious, non-infectious) properly.
* Ensure color-coded bins are used correctly.
* Dispose of garbage timely to avoid overflow or foul smell.
Support for Emergency Cleaning
* Be ready for quick clean-up in cases of spills, vomit, or accidents.
* Immediately sanitize any area exposed to blood or other body fluids.
Personal Hygiene & Conduct
* Maintain a neat appearance in uniform and ID badge.
* Use hospital-provided PPE as per duty zone.
* Respect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Night Shift Specific Duties (Male Staff)

* Maintain cleanliness and order in critical areas during night hours.
* Ensure toilets, emergency rooms, corridors, and ICU areas remain clean.
* Be alert for any sudden requirements and assist nursing staff.
General Expectations
* Be punctual, disciplined, and cooperative with nursing and admin staff.
* Report broken furniture, fixtures, or water leaks to maintenance.
* Follow supervisor instructions and shift handover protocol.
