Job Description:
Company is hiring a Safety Officer to ensure full compliance with OHS guidelines and promote a culture of safety across our operations in Oman.
Qualifications Required:
Diploma in Engineering or relevant technical field
NEBOSH IGC Certificate (International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety)
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures across all work areas to ensure a secure working environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Conduct routine site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments, taking corrective actions where necessary to minimize potential risks.
Develop and deliver safety induction programs and regular training sessions for workers, supervisors, and management to promote safety awareness and ensure everyone understands their responsibilities.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses thoroughly, prepare accurate reports, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Maintain safety documentation and records in accordance with legal and company requirements, including inspection reports, training logs, incident records, and safety data sheets.
Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and external agencies to ensure that safety practices are integrated into project planning and daily operations.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety by staying up to date with industry best practices, safety innovations, and new regulatory developments.
