Being one of the oldest business families in one of Asia’s largest steel market “Bajrangbali Steel Market- Howrah”, their primary business is importing & trading, scrap, secondary and surplus prime metals of various types. Their main purchases are lots of these materials & over production stocks from various traders all over the globe. They also manufacture & export cold drawn steel bars (size ranges from 6mm-103mm).

They specialise in Scrap rolls from Cold / Hot rolling mills, Tool Steel grades like AISI H 13(DIN. 1.2344), AISI H 11(DIN. 1.2343), DIN. 1.2714, Stainless steel SS304 / SS310 / SS316 / SS309, High speed steel, Hi temp Alloys & Metals – Inconel, Cupronickle, Monel , Nihard , Nichrome, Tungsten, Titanium, Tin, Copper, Brass, Aluminium & others as per requirement.

Salary: 15k to 20k depends on experienced and working capacity.

Job Role: Stock Material Maintenance – Iron Scrap Factory
Position Summary:
The Stock Material Maintenance Staff is responsible for handling, organizing, recording, and maintaining the inventory of scrap iron and related materials in the factory. The role ensures a smooth workflow in material movement, accurate stock levels, and supports operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Handling:
Receive and inspect incoming scrap iron materials.
Sort, weigh, and categorize different types of scrap (e.g., heavy melt, light iron, stainless steel, etc.).
Load/unload materials from trucks and store them in designated areas.

2. Stock Management:
Maintain up-to-date records of available stock through registers or software (ERP/Excel).
Monitor stock levels regularly and report shortages or excess to the supervisor.
Perform physical stock counts weekly/monthly.

3. Material Organization:
Ensure scrap materials are stored safely and systematically for easy access.
Label and tag materials as per company standards.

4. Safety & Cleanliness:
Follow safety guidelines while handling sharp, heavy, or rusted materials.
Keep the stockyard clean, clutter-free, and hazard-free.
Use protective gear (gloves, helmets, shoes, etc.) during operations.

5. Coordination & Communication:
Coordinate with production and logistics departments for material movement.
Report damaged, misplaced, or missing materials immediately.
Assist auditors or supervisors during inventory inspections.

6. Record Keeping & Reporting:
Maintain logbooks, delivery challans, material receipts, and issue slips.
Generate daily/weekly/monthly stock reports and submit to management.

7. Required Skills:
Basic literacy (10th pass or above).
Knowledge of material handling and basic math for weight/quantity calculation.
Familiarity with inventory systems is an advantage.
Physically fit and able to work in open yards or industrial environments.

Work Schedule:
Duty Hours: 8 to 10 hours/day
Overtime as needed based on material inflow
