Job Title: Bartender / Barman

Job Summary:

A Bartender (Barman) is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, engaging with customers, maintaining bar cleanliness, and ensuring excellent guest service in a hotel, restaurant, or bar setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Drink Preparation & Service

Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, beer, and soft drinks as per standard recipes.

Take customer orders and provide drink recommendations.

Garnish drinks attractively and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.

Customer Service

Greet and engage guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Ensure prompt and courteous service to enhance the guest experience.

Handle customer complaints politely and resolve them quickly.

Bar Operations

Maintain proper stock of liquor, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.

Keep bar counter clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.

Ensure glassware and utensils are properly cleaned and polished.

Cash & Billing

Handle cash/card transactions accurately.

Maintain daily sales records and report to management.

Compliance & Safety

Follow legal regulations for serving alcohol.

Monitor guest behavior and refuse service to intoxicated customers if necessary.

Maintain hygiene and adhere to health & safety guidelines.

Skills Required:

Excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and beverage mixing techniques.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer service orientation and pleasant personality.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualification:

Education: Hotel Management Diploma / Bartending Certification preferred.

Experience: 1–3 years in bar operations (freshers with training can also apply).

Age: 18+ (as per alcohol serving laws).

Prior experience in same post is an advantage.
